To the Rescue Day!

Talin's favorite toy. Suprise, suprise!
("Push me mom!")

Its the Wheehoo Wheehoo Trucks!

Talin and I spent the morning yesterday at a city services fair. Tom got to show kids from the local schools inside the ambulance. There were also fire trucks, swat cars, city utilities trucks, and a lot of other city related services all on display. I got some really good pictures of Talin with Tom and on the trucks. Talin loves anything with wheels. The other day Tom was installing the car seat while Talin and I waited outside. Talin walked up to the bumper and tried to push the car. He even made his signature growling sound. My little man 100% boy.

I did my first 5k this past Saturday. If you don't know it, 5k is 3 miles. My time was 38min. 11sec. At least I was not last. I did it after not training at all for a week and a half so I was very happy I finished. My big relay next month will be 3 legs. The first leg is 6.7 miles and the second is 3 miles the third is 3.3. I will have to complete all three in a 48 hour period so we will see how I do. If you want to know more about the race you can go to www.ragnarrelay.com the relay is done all over the country. The one here in Utah is call Wasatch Back.
The video is of me finishing the 5k.

YEAH me!

I just found out yesterday that I got a position as a scrapbook designer for the local store here in Brigham City. It took a month before they called me and told me I got it. I was so excited, I thought they had chosen someone else. I made a book for Talin's grandma of a three generation teddy bear. That made them interested, so they gave me a trial run with a very complicated kit. I made it and took it in. Later I saw it up in the store but I didn't hear from them in a long time, so I figured it didn't do well. I was so wrong. I guess they sold off the table. The store couldn't get them put together fast enough. It made me so happy to know that something I designed was so popular. I have been trying different crafting ideas and I finally found something that I can do well enough to market. It doesn't really pay, I get store credit, but it gives me something to do and a way to use my talents. The pictures below are the album that I used as a resume and the teddy bear. I wish I could show you my work, but until I am no longer under contract I am not allow to post any photos.

This bear belonged to Tom's dad Terry, when he was a baby, then it was Tom's when he was a baby. Now it is Talin's. He loves it! He is always reaching for it. It plays music so Talin listens to it when he goes to sleep at night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TALIN 1 YEAR!

Congratulations to Talin. He is now 1 year old. We had a big birthday dinner at the fire department. Thanks to all who gave cloths and toys. I am so excited for this year. Talin will be walking soon and that will mean a whole new world for him. I can't wait to go to the park and swimming this summer. I think it will be the best year we have had. Tom is doing well with the EMS department. Last Sunday there was a huge accident on the freeway and all 5 ambulances got called out. Tom and I were at dinner at Brenda's with the family and we had to run out of the house to get Tom over there quick. It is a rush to go with Tom when he is trying to the department in a hurry. Lets just say we were there in about a minute and brenda lives at least a mile and a half away. Well lets get to the good stuff. PICTURES!

Merry Christmas from the Wyatt Fam.

Merry Christmas everyone. Talin's smile in this picture is enough Christmas cheer for me. I can't believe we got this shot. Talin will be almost 10 months old for his first Christmas. We have been reading him a new Christmas book every day since the first of the month. (Thank you Aunt Brenda) He loves to turn the pages and push any buttons that are on the books.
As for me I am gearing up for the USU packet for my business. I distribute it once a year for the USU Married Student Housing. I have also began training for the Ragnar Relay race in June. I have always wanted to run a marathon, but I figure I better start with something smaller. Tom is mostly working right now, but we hope he will soon be part of the Brigham City Ambulance crew. We expect the call any day.
Well besides the typical crazy days of raising a curious crawling infant, and the rush of trying to get Christmas together there isn't much else to report. For those of you we won't see this Christmas, we love you, miss you and wish you the best the Lord can give this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Welcome to Wyatt Life

Welcome to the Wyatt family blog. We are happy you came to visit. We can't wait to tell you a little about us and show you some pictures of everyday life in the wyatt family. To start let me tell you about our favorite Christmas tradition. Every year we buy a few new ornaments that represent new or fun things that have happened throughout the year. Our first year we bought a bunch of silver rings and a forest of aspen trees since Tom proposed with a carving in an aspen and we got married. The next year we got a Bear Lake ornament since we were in Bear Lake. We also have a blue Volkswagen bug since we like to play slug bugs. This year will be the year to get a baby ornament since Talin will celebrate his first Christmas (outside the tummy). We are also thinking of getting a camper trailer for the tree since we lived in one in Bear Lake this summer. It was so fun to be next to the beach all summer.
2008 has been a big year for us. We had our first Child, Lisa bought a business, Tom switched jobs a few times, we moved twice, and we hope this will be the year tom gets on to a department so he can keep working toward his Paramedic. This has been the year for firsts, along with those already listed we also have Talins first words, his first food, first crawling steps, first tooth, first ambulance ride (we fell and hit the pavement, everything is ok), and Talin might take his first steps by the end of the
year.
We invite you to play the game below while you enjoy some family photos and video. Thanks again for visiting us on our blog.
